Dr. Sanity Weighs In
A very thoughtful blogger, Dr. Sanity, has posted on the sources of the Paris Intifada. She quotes from two other posters who are looking at European press and commentary as well. Very worrisome conclusions!
The risk of what in essence becomes a fifth collumn of people who don’t identify with the culture of the country is now becoming evident to more and more in Europe. PC multiculturalism is how the French have failed in building a relationship with the immigrants. One could argue that the immigrants’ only failure may have been the honesty to admit what they were coming to France for. Did they really intend to become part of the culture and think of themselves as French first and Muslim second? If so, then they have not paid attention and not voiced their desires and concerns. If not, then they must have intended to do just what they are doing - destroying the predominant culture of France.
